Antiquarian’s Home
Previously decorated in cream and damask, our client wanted to transform his drawing room to create a more evocative space in which to entertain guests and showcase his impressive antiques collection. Having researched the property’s original bones, we hand-mixed flat oil paints in muted Georgian colours, researched the original marble that would have been used on the chimney piece and brought in a Hollywood set designer to implement the painted and faux marble scheme. The result is a richly layered drawing room that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere that’s in harmony with its late 18th Century architecture.
