Kitchens
The old cliché that the kitchen is the heart of the home has never been truer than now. As people change their work and lifestyles to become more flexible, kitchens serve in more ways than ever before – from informal business lunches to birthday preparations to family suppers – it all happens here. We believe in honest materials and a kitchen that is more like a highly functional reception room than just a place to house all the necessary items from hob to crystal. And if there is space, we like to create specific work spaces such as a proper pantry, larder, porcelain cupboard and flower room nearby.
And if not, we try to glorify the spaces allotted to make room for these separate but integral functions. At the centre of all this business there is always a kitchen table. Whether a simple scrubbed pine refectory table or a sleek waved edge teak paeon to modernism, this will always be a place to set a hot bowl of soup, chop carrots or have a Zoom meeting in four countries.
